DEUCE League is a flexible community competition. You'll be placed in a division of around 10 players at your skill level, and you have 8 weeks to arrange and play your matches—no fixed matchdays, no weekend-only schedules. Play when and where works for both you and your opponent.

The DEUCE app is free to download and use. You can find players near you and arrange friendly matches anytime. When you're ready for more, DEUCE Leagues offer structured competition with prizes for division winners, for an entry fee.

Do I need to be an experienced player to join?

Nope! DEUCE League is for anyone who wants to play competitively and improve—whether you've been playing for years or just started. Our rating system places you in a division with players at a similar level, so every match is a fair contest.

What is DMR and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

DMR stands for DEUCE Match Rating. It's how we measure your skill level and match you with similar players. When you sign up, you'll complete a questionnaire about your playing experience, and we'll calculate your starting rating. Pickleball players with a DUPR rating can convert it directly for an even more accurate start. Your DMR updates automatically based on your match results—not just wins and losses, but how competitive each match was. The more you play, the more accurate your rating becomes.

How many matches do I need to play?

Only your best 6 match results count toward your final standing. In a typical 10-player division, you can play up to 9 matches, but you're not penalized if scheduling issues mean you play fewer. The Best 6 system ensures you're judged on your strongest performances, not on who had the most flexible calendar.

Where do matches take place?

You and your opponent agree on a venue and split any court booking costs between you. This could be a public court, a club, your condo's tennis court, or anywhere you can get a game.

Are there prizes for league winners?

Yes! Division winners receive prizes. But while we celebrate winners, the real focus is on enjoying competitive matches, improving your game, and connecting with fellow players in your area.
